I love: Rise Against & The Red Eyes

by Tim M on June 18, 2009

The following two videos demonstrate two examples of a Lovemark. Music – this is nothing new – has an incredible ability to lift one from the lowest lows and empower you, impart a sense of rightness. That everything will be ok.

The Red Eyes are one of my favourite bands. My brother plays keys in the band, so I’m a little biased, but really, they’re quite fantastic. People LOVE them. Every gig I go to, they convert new fans, and strengthen old ones. Smiles. Positivity.

Rise Against are one of my absolute favourite bands. At this gig, I was rolling photos for Beat Magazine, and had my crappy Canon IS85 point and shoot (my EOS 40D + glass was necessarily put away – press + PR rules) so decided to reel off some video. Here’s what I saw. Absolutely mind blowing – the crappy video does not do the power and vibrancy and immense inclusive anti-”system” feeling any justice.
